PALFINGER: 90 Years of Success Together



“Experiencing the spirit of our joint success since 1932” — that was the tagline of PALFINGER's 90th anniversary, which was celebrated in style at the Messezentrum Salzburg from May 16 to 22. From panel discussions about action parks to the anniversary dinner, the occasion saw celebrations in multiple formats for seven days — together with everyone from and around PALFINGER.

PALFINGER’s success and future is based on the people who stand behind the company. That also applies to the past 90 years. PALFINGER invited employees, partners, customers, pupils, students and friends to the Messezentrum Salzburg to celebrate their shared achievement over the decades. Around 6,000 guests flocked to the event week. It was opened on Monday by Andreas Klauser (CEO) and Martin Zehnder (COO), who expressed their thanks to the company’s suppliers for their excellent cooperation and then discussed current challenges, the market situation and the important topic of “Local 4 Local - sustainability in procurement” in exciting talks with experts. 

Synergies Always in Focus
On Monday and Tuesday, dealers were able to test and discover the full potential of PALFINGER equipment in customized training sessions. On the third day, bodywork builders and truck manufacturers exchanged ideas during a forum suitably entitled “Bodyworx 3.0” and discussed new opportunities for synergies.

Strong Partnerships
On Thursday and Friday, Messe Salzburg became the venue for the EMEA Sales Conference. Under the motto “Experiencing the spirit of our joint success since 1932", everything on these two days revolved around long-standing, reliable partnerships with dealers and customers. Dealers are the most important link between PALFINGER and its customers. Innovative product workshops, panel discussions and, above all, the exclusive action park featuring the latest products, provided a glimpse into the future. At the anniversary dinner with 460 invited guests, PALFINGER looked back on a remarkable success story together with employees, partners, customers and numerous guests of honor.

Future Perspectives
Entitled “Your future at PALFINGER”, Friday afternoon offered pupils and students interesting insights into the wide range of job prospects and exciting professions at PALFINGER — from software, design and mechatronics engineers to cyber security. Finally, on Friday evening, the exhibition center became part of the Austria-wide “Long Night of Research”. PALFINGER impressively demonstrated how applied research, digitization and innovative technologies are activating new business segments, solving challenges and opening up future perspectives.

Fun for the Whole Family
The weekend focused on PALFINGER employees with the anniversary week reaching its climax with Family & Friends Day on Saturday. Supported by live music and food trucks, everyone celebrated being together and working together. An awesome effort was achieved during the Bike Challenge. Over EUR 36,000 were collected for the 682 kilometers cycled, which was rounded up to EUR 40,000 by PALFINGER and donated to Doctors Without Borders. To round off the day, the PALFINGER team of trainers and apprentices presented the various apprenticeships and further career opportunities at PALFINGER.
