Release from 20.10.2022
With the new PALFINGER eCommerce shop and the opening of another spare parts warehouse in Germany, the technology and mechanical engineering company is investing in even greater customer focus in the EMEA region. Bergheim, Austria on October 20, 2022
The wait is over. In the new PALFINGER eCommerce shop, registered distributors in the EMEA region can choose from about 110,000 original spare parts, workshop and salesroom equipment, tools and upgrades, and simply order them online. Following the opening of another spare parts hub, customers benefit from even easier and faster access to spare parts. That is because PALFINGER spare parts hubs in the EMEA region guarantee rapid delivery thanks to their optimally positioned geographic locations.
Everything at a Glance
The eCommerce shop is linked to the center of the digital service world, PALFINGER PALDESK, and can be accessed at
emea-shop.palfinger.com. Distributors who are registered with PALDESK can view everything at a glance through the eCommerce Shop and can call up and access at any time the entire customer history collected on the platform — from orders and invoices to returns and credit notes. Customer discounts are calculated and deducted in real time, and the delivery status and the warehouse that ships the consignment are also shown. Additionally, distributors can still continue to order directly from PALFINGER using various interfaces.
In order to guarantee maximum customer proximity and individual support, the system is managed by the general representatives of each market. The high-level network of the spare parts center in the EMEA region, combined with the new eCommerce shop, ensures optimized availability and shipment of spare parts. The eCommerce shop is the basis for PALFINGER's ongoing digital product strategy that in future enables customers to directly order selected spare parts and digital services.
Third Spare Parts Hub Opened - The Perfect Combination for the EMEA Region
In addition to the spare parts warehouses in Lengau, Austria, and Toulouse, France, the third EMEA spare parts hub was opened in Bremen, Germany, in May 2022. Its geographical location supports continuous expansion of spare parts supply in Germany and Scandinavia. The 2,000 m² of warehouse space can be expanded to a total of 6,000 m² if required to ensure consistently high product availability. By consistently expanding the spare parts hub strategy and using state-of-the-art planning systems, it is possible to significantly reduce delivery times for spare parts — in turn significantly increasing machine uptime. The EMEA spare parts center hubs dispatch over 1,500 ordered items a day. The aim is for service partners to receive the spare parts ordered from the eCommerce shop within 24 hours.
Innovation Driven by Customer Focus
The opening of the eCommerce shop is one of the 'Go Digital' measures that is part of PALFINGER’s Vision & Strategy 2030. It sees PALFINGER drive the megatrends digitalization, sustainability and social change to bring the necessary future-oriented solutions onto the market. “Every day in Global Service at PALFINGER, we look at how we can support our customers in working even more efficiently. With the help of digital innovations such as the eCommerce shop, we help our customers to make faster headway with their projects. This significantly reduces long waits for spare parts and avoids expensive interruptions to work,” says Balthasar Gwechenberger, Vice President Global Service, underlining the future potential of the new solution.
